Ich forsche aktuell am RMZ zu internationalen Replikationsinitiativen und der allgemeinen Open-Science-Community, in meiner Position als Leitung des durch die DFG geförderten Projekts „Replikation als soziale Bewegung“.
Zuvor war ich mehrere Jahre lang in wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeit und Lehre am Institut für Sozialwissenschaften, sowie dem Institut für Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft, Abteilung Wissenschaftsforschung der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin tätig.
In dieser Zeit arbeitete ich zudem als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeitende und schließlich als Projektleitung für das Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker-Zentrum der Universität Tübingen in einem von der VW-Stiftung geförderten Projekt, das die drastischen (und unterschwelligen) Veränderungen der Lebens- und Arbeitsbedingungen von Akademiker:innen während der Covid-Pandemie untersuchte.
Jenseits meiner Forschungsprojekte bin ich ständiges Mitglied des Forschungsnetzwerks für politische Soziologie der European Sociology Association (ESA).
In meiner Dissertation habe ich mich mit den folgenden Forschungsthemen auseinandergesetzt: Emotionen in der Politik, argumentative Strukturen, Rechtfertigungsstrategien, Auswirkungen von Populismus auf politische Diskurskultur, britische Politik, US-Wahlen, pragmatische Soziologie der Kritik / französischer Pragmatismus.
