Vita
As a senior researcher at the Robert K. Merton Center for Science Studies, I am currently the lead of an international consortium, investigating science reform communities (reflexivity) and their discourse (reflectivity) in cooperation with Aarhus University as part of a VW Foundation grant.
Prior to this, I researched international replication initiatives and the Open Science movement as the operational lead of a DFG grant project. I have also worked as a research and teaching assistant at the School for Library & Information Science as well as the School for Social Sciences, department of Science Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, as well as a research associate and eventually PI for the Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Center at the Universität Tübingen in a VW Foundation grant-project, researching the drastic (and subliminal) changes in living and working conditions for academics during the covid pandemic.
I am a standing member of the Research Committee for the Sociology of Science and Technology of the International Sociology Association (RC23 ISA) and of the Research Network for Political Sociology of the European Sociology Association (RN32 ESA).
The research topics of my PhD dissertation evolved around: Emotion in politics, argumentative structures, the impact of populism, British politics, U.S. elections, and the Pragmatic Sociology of Critique.
